Important Information Regarding the SIO2022 Annual Scientific Meeting

SIO has been closely monitoring the escalating global impact of COVID-19. We were hopeful that the SIO2022 Annual Scientific Meeting could proceed as planned from 3-7 February 2022.

After much review, dialogue with key stakeholders, and considerable evaluation of the current COVID-19 surge, we have decided to postpone the meeting from 3-7 February 2022 to 24-28 March 2022 in San Francisco, CA in the best interest of all involved. Rather than shifting to a fully virtual event, we believe that the most responsible path forward for our community is to delay gathering in person, and focus our collective energy to prepare and gather for a spring meeting.

While this change impacts all of us, the well-being of our community is of the utmost importance. We know that this meeting continually provides a valuable in-person opportunity for our attendees to learn, network, and push the field of IO forward. We also recognize the disappointment that comes with having to postpone something that many have worked hard to plan and prepare for.

For those currently registered, all registration fees will simply be transferred to our new dates. We will share more information in a separate communication to attendees in the coming days. In the meantime, our FAQ webpage will be updated throughout the week with the latest details and guidance.
