About

The Resident and Medical Student Section (RMSS) was designed to provide a forum and increase membership in the medical student and resident populations of the Society for Interventional Oncology (SIO). Moreover, this section provides resources for professional development and engagement as well as a leadership pathway within the society. Its goal is to assist residents and fellows in their transition from trainees to young practicing Interventional Radiology (IR) physicians practicing and specializing in IO treatments.

Resident Member - $55

Membership level for individuals who are in the their residentcy. Proof of standing required.

Membership level for student of interventional oncology or related field.*

Join as a Medical Student Member

* Please note, you must be a MS1-MS4 medical student and show proof of enrollment to qualify for this membership type. Please send to info@sio-central.org.

Responsibilities

  • Expand membership to medical students and residents interested in the interventional oncology field around the world. 
  • Evaluate the needs of these professionals and develop strategies for recruitment through the utilization of new association resources.
  • Collaborate with other committees and the Board of Directors to establish criteria for resources development.
